Description

Our most secure banana plugs

Silverback banana plugs have the quality you’ve come to expect from Sewell, including gold plated connectors and a heavy-duty casing. What sets these banana plugs apart is the unique dual-screw lock design. This connection will secure your cable more than a single-screw or open-screw design. Dual-screw connectivity provides a secure connection, durability, and a clear signal transmission through the added contact. Silverback Banana Plugs accommodate up to 10 AWG speaker wire.

How to Install Silverback Banana Plugs:

  1. Unscrew the jacket to reveal the core of the Silverback Banana Plug.
  2. Loosen the two small screws to accomodate the size of your speaker wire.
  3. Feed the speaker wire into the core of the banana plug.
  4. Tighten the screws to secure the speaker wire.
  5. Replace the jacket over the core.

Why Banana Plugs?

This banana plug interface is found on audio/video receivers, speaker wall plates, and more.  Banana plugs offer an alternative to inserting a bare speaker wire into your equipment. Bare wire connections tend to get pulled out or frizzy after time passes, are prone to corrosion, and are a hassle to insert onto the equipment. Banana plugs offer a quick and secure connection that is both reliable and makes future changes painless.

High-quality plugs.

I bought banana plugs from a different brand online and was disappointed to find that they wouldn't fit into my A/V receiver, even with a lot of force. Many online reviews noted that they were hard to insert. Some people suggested crimping the tips with pliers, and a few even suggested tapping them lightly with a small hammer. No thanks. I returned them and ordered plugs from Sewell. They fit snugly but without using much force and they appear to be of higher quality than the others. I highly recommend Sewell.

Solid & Quality

I've used Sewell a few times and they are a good option for lower cost good quality banana plugs. Install solidly and quick, they also look good. One thing I like to do is put clear heat shrink over them in case they get beat up and lose their protective coating so they won't spark each other accidentally.
