Need to Extend Your IR Signal... Like 12 inches? This is your IR Extender!
The most common need for IR extension is bridging a short gap from your A/V equipment to a closet, cabinet, entertainment center or behind the TV. The GhostIR is the perfect solution, with its paper thin 1ft. cable it is ideal for going through thin gaps in cabinets and closets, allowing you to control devices behind doors without the mess of adding additional power cables.
It uses very little power so the battery charge will last up to 12 months and is easy to recharge when needed.
How it works
- Expose the adhesive tape on the IR emitter block, and mount it to the inside of the door cabinet door pointing to the A/V device you wish to control.
- Expose the adhesive on the the IR receiver, and place it on the outside of the cabinet door.
- Make sure that the IR receiver is in the "line-of-sight" of the remote control.

Pros: Miniature remote infra red. Terrific product. Works well. This far after 3 weeks very pleased. Cons: NoneOther: Thank you
Pros: Works just as it should !Cons: None. But, see suggestion below.Other: Suggestion: Eliminate the battery and go with a 120 volt unit. Some audio components have a 120 volt source to plug into. I plan on using my unit with the charger connected all the time to avoid having to recharge the battery.
Pros: compact - only purchased this one because I guess I had the previous battery operated versionCons: Does not sustain a charge. Have to remove it each time to recharge - would have been better off it had a self-contained battery. Very disappointed and contemplating returning it. So unlike other products I've purchased from sewelldirect. No reflection on them at all Other: Really like Sewell Direct and will continue to purchase from them. Just this one product is disappointing
Terribly sorry to hear about the trouble you've had with that. We carry a couple different IR extending options, including some with a wall power supply that won't have those charging issues. Let me know if you would like to exchange that for something else.
