product image We recommend using the Sewell Ghost Wire Terminal Block with this product.

Make speaker wires disappear right on the wall or under the carpet with Sewell Ghost Wire.

This super-flat speaker wire can be used on almost any flat surface. Perfect for running stereo signals across rooms, around corners, under flooring, or any situation where wires cannot be run through walls.

White backing allows Ghost Wire to be left uncovered, or it can be easily covered with paint, wall paper, or flooring making the wire virtually invisible.

Easy stick-on installation saves you from the difficult task of pulling wires through walls or attics. Simply peel back the adhesive backing and stick the self-adhesive side wherever you want it. No screwdrivers, hammers, or jigsaws required.

How to install Ghost Wire

  1. Peel back the white backing exposing the adhesive
  2. Separate adhesive layer from conductors and trim it away
  3. Fold the conductors over 2-3 times and insert them into the Ghost Wire Terminal Block
  4. Tighten the screws on the terminal block to secure the cable
  5. Insert speaker cable and tighten screws

Running Ghost Wire Around Corners

We’ve had a lot of people ask us the best way to run Ghost wire around corners when running it along the floor.

Here’s how:

  1. Run the cable along the edge of the wall with the adhesive side (the side with the two copper strips) down
  2. Fold the cable back so the copper strips are facing up
  3. Fold the cable back down at a 45° angle, making a 90° turn

GhostWire Review

Pros: Excellent Product, works as advertised. Am using the product for a double induction loop. So far NO PROBLEMS. Highly recommended.

Cons: Wish it came in longer lengths, like 300 to 500 feet. 14AWG would also help. "Simply" peeling backing to attach to terminal block isn't exactly easy, had to use MEK to get the glue off. 90 degree turns to keep the sticky side down really created a bump on the floor, or wall if you are placing it there. Overall great product.

Other:

Pros: Easy to use and install - You may need to pass over the adhesive with a rolling pin or metal par to ensure full adherence.

Cons: 90' turns - They can be done but you can forget about painting over the speaker wire to hide it... This was my biggest gripe with the product. It can be mitigated with ease but this is a large area for improvement. Connection points - Over the course of my 5.1 speaker install I had to troubleshoot two speakers to identify what the issue was and couldn't find any. I had to remove the ghost wire and relay another section to find the problem disappear in one case and had to tighten the screws in the other case. This was a stressful problem that took longer than it should have.

Other: It appears that I have more cons than pros but they don't detract from the practicality provided by the product.

Pros: Wire is invisible under paint and texture.

Cons: Adhesive strip lacks strength had to use additional contact adhesive to have it fully stick.

Other: This wire worked wonders for our project. The ceiling fan in the photo is wired off the flat wire and as you can (or can’t ) see the wire is no where is sight.Great product.
