If you want to clean up your setup by putting everything in a closet, your remote control won’t work anymore. That’s because remote controls work by using infrared (IR) signals, which can only work through line of sight.

The Solution

That’s why you need an IR extender, like the BlastIR Wall Plate Kit. This kit will provide all the parts you need to extend your IR signal to wherever you are hiding all of your equipment. That way you get the clean, professional look you want, but you are still able to use all of your remotes to control your home theater experience. After installation all that you see is a small wall plate.

• Cisco Explorer 4642HDC, IPN 4320, IPN 330HD and the Motorola VIP series. There are other models of the U-verse that are also likely incompatible with the BlastIR.
