Normal switches only allow you to switch between multiple sources (like a Blu Ray player, gaming console, cable box, etc) using a single display. The IBIS is a bi-directional switch. That means it will allow you to switch between multiple sources on a single display OR switch between multiple displays from a single source.

IBIS Connection

The switch supports full HDCP passthrough, so you don't need to worry about data encryption. Plus, a simple LED system lets you know which source or display you'd like to switch to. A simple push-button design lets you easily move from one to the other and back. Plus, it's about the most affordable 1x2 switch on the market, even without it's bi-directional capabilities.

A Must-have for PS4 Pro + PSVR

Sony's PS4 Pro has HDR support, and a VR headset. The problem is that you can’t have your VR headset plugged in when you want to watch HDR because the VR does not support HDR. So every time you want HDR you have to unplug the PSVR and plug in the PS4 directly to the TV. With the IBIS you simply switch with the push of a button.

Note: The ibis supports 4K@30Hz at 4:4:4 and 4K@60Hz at 4:2:0

Note: Splitters vs. Switches

An HDMI switch will take multiple sources and allow you to choose which single source will be displayed on the TV. Wheras an HDMI splitter will duplicate a single HDMI source on multiple HDMI displays.

Keeps flickering and loosing the image

Pros: Small

Cons: Not working most of the time. About once or twice every minute the picture disappears for 1 or two seconds, and sometimes longer while turning the screen completely white. I've tried switching between the ports as one other reviewer suggested but it's not working. I had this shipped to Sweden, paying a total of over $60 and it would cost over $40 to return it, so sadly it's just a worthless piece of expensive plastic for me.

Other: Not working as suggested. I wanted to use it to get around the problem with PSVR not supporting HDR pass-through, but it's unusable, sadly.

Excellent for PS4 Pro & PSVR combination

Pros: - Works as advertised for PS4 Pro / PSVR - Small - Rubber antislip pad on the bottom - Doesn't require an external power source

Cons: - Does not work with every HDMI cable - No way of telling which HDMI cables are compatible

Other: At first I panicked. After waiting 3 weeks to receive this Switch (I live in the Netherlands) the picture kept losing signal every 10 seconds. This was even with the 1 feet + 3 feet Silverback S6 Premium HDMI Cable combination which I bought from Sewell Dirtect. Luckily I had a lot of spare HDMI cables at home and with a lot of different setup combinations the frequency at which the image was losing signal varied a lot. This confirmed to me that the problem was cable related and not Switch related. There seems to be no logic to which cable works best. Sometimes long budget HDMI cables gave a more stable signal than short Premium HDMI cables, but eventually i got it working a 100% of the time. Without going in to much details i can confirm that this switch works and does what it advertises to do. I got it working by hooking up using the following way. PS4 Pro --> 1meter/3 foot HDMI cable (from a standalone Sony Blu Ray Player which I don't use anymore) --> IBIS switch --> 1meter/3 foot HDMI Cable (from Nintendo Wii-U) to TV HDMI input 1 And another 1meter/3 foot HDMI budget cable from IBIS switch to TV HDMI input 2 My assumption is that u need to use a HDMI calble which will feed the IBIS switch enough power since it doesn't use an external power source. I don't know how to check for this on a HDMI cable so it's a little 'trial and error' to figure out which cables to us. But 'Premium' and shorter lenght HDMI cables doesn't alway give better results. Bottom line: The switch iself works flawlessly. If your experiencing signal loss you should use other HDMI cables.

Don't know about this one.

Pros: It looks nice.

Cons: I can't get it to work any of the 8 pairs of HDMI 2.0 cables I' ve brought in various size. Just keep blinking on most never getting a picture. If this device only work with the cable from here please sell it all together as I just realized you sell cables specifically for it.

Other: Fast shipping. Like I said I can't get it to work.

This is AWESOME! Wish I'd seen this earlier. What a timesaver from constant switching between ports! Thank you! Thank you! And the light tells me exactly where I am at all times.

Exactly What I Needed

Carlisle Gpa - 1/5/2018 1:25:20 PM

It is small, no setup required, no batteries or power support needed, works perfectly. It allows me to switch between two different receiving devices from a single HDMI output. Again, exactly what I need. Small, light, easy to use with lights to show which port it is switched to.

Great little solution for PS4 Pro/PSVR HDR issue

- 12/14/2017 11:26:11 AM

Allows me to switch between PS4 Pro and PSVR without having to unplug any HDMI cables Keeps HDR quality when playing PS4 Pro instead of getting downgraded to PSVR's 1080 limit Small and doesn't require a power supply
