The Sewell 1x4 HDMI Splitter meets all HDMI v1.4 specifications including HDMI Ethernet Channel, Full 3D support, and 4Kx2K Resolution Support. Take any one HDMI source and split it between four outputs simultaneously, allowing users to view duplicates of a single HDMI source. This 1x4 HDMI Splitter provides a high quality digital reproduction with no distortion and is very easy to use.
If you have a 1080p TV and a 720p TV, the signal sent to both from the splitter will end up being 720p unless you use a downscaler between the splitter and the 720p TV. That way, each TV will display the highest possible resolution.
While only 2 displays are shown, a 1x4 HDMI Splitter works the same way, outputting to 4 displays instead of 2.
This splitter is loaded with the latest advanced technology capable of supporting all your equipment's latest features. The high quality parts used in this product allow its users to operate at a frequency of 225MHz. Without adding an additional HDMI cable, reverse the audio to the AV amplifier through the HDMI cable connection allowing your HDTV to receive audio and video content. This HDMI splitter is compatible with all HDMI sources and supports HDCP.
The HDMI organization has recently upgraded HDMI to include several new and exiting functions. HDMI v1.3 cables are already being phased out by the superior HDMI v1.4 cables. The problem is that most HDMI devices (including splitters) do not support these new functions. This HDMI switch will allow you to enjoy all the new functions of HDMI v1.4.
HDMI Ethernet Channel
Allows you to use HDMI devices that are IP enabled such as HDTVs and Blu-Ray players with Ethernet enabled features. This would allow you to use your Netflix instant viewing app on your new Ethernet enabled HDTV, for instance.
This cable has added 3D support, supporting every brand and type of active and non-active 3D protocols.
This future proofs your HDMI cable; supporting resolutions that far surpass 1080p (4096×2160 p24 to be exact, 1080p is 1920x1080).
Content Type Control
Your HDTV can now tell what is connected to it (for supported devices), allowing it to automatically adjust settings to best reproduce your video source's resolution, color setting, and more.
Additional Color Spaces/Spectrums
There are some colors that the RGB spectrum does not include, and many of these color spectrums are being incorporated in digital still photography and other applications, such as sYCC601, Adobe RGB, and Adobe YCC601 color spaces.

Pros: Did exactly what it was intended to do, great price compared to big box prices/ equipment with lesser abilities, Item worked seamlessly once installed.
Cons: Seemed to cause some issues on certain frequencies with headset mics (once I changed to different frequencies on headset mic all was fine)

Pros: When it works, it's awesome. I attach two monitors and a projector for the physically handicapped individuals to be able to read the Closed Captions on the videos. Very helpful to my special class members.
Cons: I used it three times last week, and each time I had difficulty getting the box to find the input... no green lights. I used 3 different HDMI cables, all with the same difficulties. And even now. the #3 outport does not work at all. I also had trouble once getting the power to come on. I had to plug it into a wall adapter, not use the USB end plugged into my computer. I purchased the HDMI cables from you also, and they all work fine. I love it when it works, but I got a plain splitter from a local electronics store, as a backup just in case, because I can't trust your box. I have to have something, even if it only goes to two monitors. Your's is supposed to go to 4 monitors. Sorry. Maybe I just got a lemon. Please send me another one and I'll send this one back to you. I can't wait for an exchange, where I send you the dud one first because I teach every Tues and Thurs and having a lemon is better than nothing at all! Sorry for the bad news.

1 x 4 HDMI Splitter 1.4v

Works well with my TX-NR838 AV Receiver. I'm splitting the Av receivers zone 2 out to 4 other TVs with no problems. The red and green power lights have been dimmed down to not be distracting to your eyes to it like the earlier models.

works great will buy more of these as needed
Can this splitter be used from 1 PC to 4 independent monitors, such as a mosaic or an extended screen?
No the splitter will not be able to give 4 distinct HDMI screens as if your computer is displaying in extended mode. This splitter will be able to take the picture from the source (so in this case the computer) and Mirror that picture to 4 different screens.
