Works perfectly to control CD player and BluRay player that are 'hidden' in a cabinet. The sensor is discrete and the emitter is connected via a split cable with the LEDs taped onto the IR sensors of each device. The starter kit includes multiple options for mounting the sensor and emitters.
Why 4* and not 5* - As others have noted there is no description of what's included in the 'starter kit'. I ordered a dual emitter cable thinking I would need this when one was already included in the box.
Although I haven't used these yet I can tell these are great quality and I'm sure will work very well when wiring my system.
