USB to DB9 Serial Plug in Adapter

Pros: Excellent Product. Plugged it in, installed drivers, and used it right away. Using Windows Vista Premium with no problems.

Cons: Once plugged in, you cannot plug in another USB device next to it due to space. Adapter is somewhat thick and takes up space, but that is just a minor thing.

Other:

Iam very pleased with the serial plug adapter. It was very easy to install.

Pros: Did a great job for what it was designed for.

Cons: Too long. It extended too far out. It broke when it was hit by someone.

Other: Arrived as scheduled.

Great Adapter

L Brown - 9/5/2012 2:06:21 PM

I discovered I needed a second of these adaptors. During class Tueday evening I placed the order. On Thursday afternoon it arrived in the mail. The old software can recognize COM ports 1-4; Windows 7 assigned it to 8; I changed the port and it functions with 1990's software beautifully. Quality product delivered very promptly (a normal execution of an order by Sewell).

Serial port for Win 7

Fredeliot - 5/1/2011 3:39:26 PM

Worked perfectly with Win 7 Pro 64 for an application where another adapter using the Prolific chip set did not work. The problem seems to be the drivers for the Prolific in Win 7 as it had worked with XP.

super, does just what I needed. Installed quiclky and worked strait away.

Good to go

I had tried 2 other brands of USB to DB9 serial plug in adapter, and they would not load on windows 7, this unit installed and loaded easly and is working well. The service from SEWELL was excelent and quick. Thank You, Mike

Easy install

Installed without the need for drivers using Vista, operates seemlessly.
