The Super USB Extender allows you to extend beyond USB length limits by using Cat5 cable. Now you can extend your USB devices up to 150 feet from your computer!

If you're looking for a USB extender that supports USB 2.0 speeds, we carry a USB 2.0 Extender.

Use the Super USB Extender to extend your low cost USB webcams for security purposes. You can also use it to operate USB barcode scanners from a central computer or to extend any USB device, such as a keyboard, to another room.

Simply plug the master unit into your computer, connect the Cat5 cable and the remote unit, plug the USB cable for your device into the remote unit, and you are ready to go.

We also carry Cat5 cables in lengths of 100, 125, and 150 feet.

Looking for a shorter USB extension cable? If you don't need to extend the distance of your device more than 80 feet, you can use our shorter USB active extension cables.

We also carry regular USB device cables.

Pros: This was a truely simple device to use. Just plug it and and add the required Cat-5 cable and bingo, it just worked. Currently running with ~80ft Cat-5 cable with no issues.

Cons: None.

Other: Don't have any experience using it with a non-powered device at the remote end. My device was powered. I guess it just depends if they send the 5V power on the Cat-5 or not, and how much power the remote device needs if they do.

Pros: These work. I needed a cable to go 50 feet to a printer. These USB connectors plugged in and with a 50 foot cat 5 cable that job was done. See note on Cons.... Even with only USB 1.1 it seems to print my documents ok (not too slow)

Cons: These are USB 1.1 not 2.0. My Windows 7 computer kept telling me "If you connect with a 2.0 it will improve printing speed..." I had to turn off the warning on my computer because it got annoying.

Fantastic item

Works as promised. I have a Network Video Recorder located in a safe room in my house. I wanted to be able to use the wired mouse to control this unit from my bedroom. This extender works with my standard mouse with zero lag time and passes through the power for the LED mouse perfectly using the existing cat 5 wiring and jacks I installed when I built my house. I would recommend using a cat5 wiring tester to verify correct wiring and continuity of installed plug ends and jacks prior to using to avoid potential operational issues.

I have a Lathem Time Clock that I would like to extend about 100 feet. Will this cable support the connection?

This should work for that (as long as the time clock is compatible with usb 1.1)

I plan on using the linksys wireless adapter WUSB600N which consumes a max of 480 mA current consumption. My computer is in one area, and the only WIFI reception I can get is about 65 ft away. Will this USB/Cat5 extension provide enough power to work with the adapter? Do you have any recommendations?

This item should work for it, but these extenders only work at USB 1.1 speeds so it will limit the maximum speed of your connection. Common wifi is the 802.11g standard which runs a max of 54mbps. This adapter can only support a max speed of about 11mbps. If you want your connection to be faster than that, this will not be a good solution for you. As an alternative, i would recommend using our USB 2.0 Extension Cable with built in repeaters, 65.6 feet, part SW-8960.

I want to connect RS-232C for a projecor to control form a audio/video room, with the proper adapters. Is this possible?

This box is a USB extender, it sounds like you need a RS232 Extender.
