I bought an arcade machine and swapped out the TV to something better. However, the TV didn't support the game's low 480p resolution. This product accurately converts the signal to 1080p so it now displays a crisp picture. I was initially worried about lag, but I haven't noticed any with this solution.
There is nothing like this available on the market and I enjoy using it with my PS2 game console with modern tvs. True lifesaver!
Pros: Does an OK job in scaling. I noticed some scaling artifacts (1 pixel vertical green line at left edge of image) but overall image quality is decent. You get what you pay for.
Cons: extremely limited choice of outputs, namely THREE. Would have been great had they also allowed for some basic 16:10 format outputs, 1280x800, 1920x1200, etc, so that one could use this with a 16:10 projector since most projectors are native 16:10 format.
Pros: Scales nicelyCons: Can't think of one. Maybe if it had more frame rates, that'd be cool. Other: Plugged it in- it just works. Can't ask for simpler operation.
Pros: Works great and performs as expected.Cons: Sometimes when switching stations in direct tv seems to cause issues and tv hesitates to show output. Waiting usually resolves this issues.Other: I am not sure if it's caused by the upscaler or other cable issue.
That could be some sort of compatibility issue, or possibly something with the cable box itself. You can give our tech department a call for some help getting that issue resolved if you'd like.
