How to Terminate TRS and TS cables

Terminating TRS/TS Cable is easier than most people might think. While it does require some soldering experience, you can get the hang of it pretty fast. Terminating your own cables is a great way to save money, especially when longer cables are needed. Here are a few tips to help you get started.

Make sure to double check that the correct wire is going to the correct pin on each end of the cable, and don't forget to slip in the spring strain relief, the metal casing, and the isolation piece into the wire BEFORE soldering the connector to the cable.
