Viewing, capturing, and editing high definition television has never been so easy with the USB HDTV console from OnAir: the first external HDTV card that interfaces with the USB port on your computer ever made.

Record Digital High Def and Standard Analog

With one single USB port you will be able to capture and record high definition television on your computer. Why would you pay a TIVO subscription fee when you can use this device to record shows, or even capture video from your camcorder, DVD, video games console, or any other video device? And just like TIVO, you will be able to schedule recordings of your favorite shows, even when you aren't home.

Built-in Hardware

The OnAir USB HDTV box includes external audio/video ports (including S-Video and Red/White/Yellow Composite ports) to connect any external video device and capture directly onto a CD or DVD. Until now, variable bit-rate (VBR) and MPEG1/MPEG2 encoders which support various bitrates are only featured on professional capture devices. This built-in conversion hardware eliminates the extra conversion step, allowing for instant DVD capture at a 720 x 480 resolution.

Record TV Shows

Instantly record TV by simply pressing the record button. The OnAir USB HDTV module will begin recording without any delay. You will be able to record broadcasts to your hard drive in the native resolution, even from digital cable channels with the unencrypted QAM signals, such as QAM64 and QAM256.

Time Shift

If you ever have to leave your TV during one of your favorite programs, the Time Shift function will record the program for up to 60 minutes and then resume play starting from the moment you left.

Support

The USB HDTV Creator supports MCE (Windows Media Center Edition 2005) in analog mode only (HDTV and QAM are not supported). It can also record HDTV programming while playing back an HDTV stream file from your hard drive simultaneously. It can even record D-VHS onto your hard drive while in play back mode. You may also use EPG (Electronic Program Guide) with the USB HDTV box with the updated driver software (available for download). It supports HD editor which allows you to playback HDTV streams and edit them simultaneously. It also allows for the editting of video while it is being captured.
