The specification for USB states that the maximum length of a USB cable is 5 meters (16 feet). As a result, you cannot extend the distance of your USB device more than 16 feet without using a USB "active" extension cable (also known as a USB repeater cable). This cable contains active electronics which boost the USB signal for maximum reliability and performance over extended distances.
Up to 4 of these USB Active Extension cables can be linked together to extend the distance to your USB peripheral by over 60 feet. Also extend your connectections from your Xbox's Kinect or other peripheral units. Set up your Xbox's Kinect unit further away from your Xbox 360 keeping your Home Theater clean and professional.
Need to go farther? Use our Super
USB Extender to extend up to 150 ft. over Cat5. If you don't need to go quite that far, try this 33 ft. USB 2.0 cable with built-in repeater.
Looking for a shorter extension
cable?
If you don't need to extend the
distance of your device more than 16 feet, you can use one of our
shorter USB passive extension cables
which come in lengths of 3, 6 and 10 feet.
We also carry regular USB device cables.
