The KR2 Kyocera mobile router allows you to use your EVDO PCMCIA card, ExpressCard, or
USB device to broadcast a portable 802.11b/g/n signal that you can share with anyone. Take the internet with you wherever you go and share it with your whole team.
The KR2 also features 4 ethernet LAN ports and failover capability to EVDO or to WAN port when connected to a cable modem. So you can use KR2 as a SOHO wireless router and not worry too much when the internet goes out. The KR2 also features VPN L2TP and enhanced encryption.
The new 802.11n option is also a good reason to upgrade from the Kyocera KR1. It offers wider bandwidth, especially when using the cable modem hookup, and offers a wider broadcast area; from 30 to 50 meters. Also, in areas where coverage is marginal, the data rates are still increased.
This router requires a data plan through your cell phone provider.
