Tired of tripping over cables? Need a way to create a mobile workstation with minimum hassle? Check out this Wireless VGA Extender from Black Box.

This KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) extender allows you to create a mobile workstation that can be placed anywhere within a 100 ft. radius - without the hassle of running cables. It's perfect for situations where running cables would be inconvenient or impossible, or in situations where the workstation would be moving frequently.

The Black Box ServSwitch Wireless VGA Extender runs on proven 802.11a wireless technology, making it one of the most reliable wireless VGA solutions out there. Proprietary Black Box design allows large chunks of digital data to be sent over wireless, enabling simultaneous transmission of high-quality video resolutions up to 1024x768 and a PS/2 keyboard and mouse signal.

The Black Box ServSwitch Wireless VGA Extender is Plug and Play compatible, has a convenient video adjustment interface (available through the receiver/remote monitor) and has virtually no compatibility issues. Couple this with built-in 128-bit AES encryption with 802.1x authentication, and you have one of the simplest, most secure wireless VGA solutions available on the market.

Question:

Can I use this device to wirelessly connect 16 laptops to one monitor? Thanks

Answer:

These extenders are set with a factory one-to-one pair. You would have to switch each computer (physically or with a switchbox) to the sending unit.

Question:

I need to connect a single PC to 2) large-screen monitors in a conference room. The PC is often moved to different parts of the room so VGA cabling and switchboxes are impractical. Is it possible to set up one sending unit and two receivers to connect both monitors concurrently?

Answer:

The sending and recieving units of this extender are factory paired, and can't be connected to multiple recievers, however if both displays are meant to show the same images, you can use a VGA splitter from the Recieving unit to the two monitors. (Assuming that you do not often need to move the monitors as well)

Can this work with Mac?

Answer:

Yes, since there is no software involved this would work with any mac that uses VGA for video and PS/2 for keyboard and mouse.
