"They were the only business that had exactly what I wanted at a reasonable price. It shipped immediately and works well."

Overview

This FM Modulator transforms your car's existing 12 volt outlet (cigarette lighter) into a MP3/WMA player which transmits to your car's FM radio. Plug your flash drive into the USB port and the VR3 will play any MP3/WMA file.

This model also shuffles your music, remembers the last station, and remembers the last song you played. It also has an LCD screen that displays which station you are tuned to. You can use either a standard thumdrive full of your favorite music, or attach an iPod, CD/DVD Player, Laptop computer, or anything else with a standard headphone output on it using the included 3ft audio cable.

The convenient design allows for easy access to the controls which allow you to change which frequency is being used as well as navigate through the music on your thumbdrive. With 12 preset stations, you have the versatility needed to find a station that is clear in your area.

This unit supports both MP3 and non-DRM WMA files.

Get a 1GB Flash Drive so you can use your tunes on the road with this FM Transmitter!

Pros: cheap, easy to use, play's wma & mp3, uses sd card or most usb thumbdrives (including 4GB)

Cons: lots of static, dispaly of shuffle/sequential play stauts too small to see w/out leaning VERY close. some usb drives not recognized. FRAGILE: I have had 3 different models, none lasted more than a few months. NEVER leave plugged in while cranking the car, that killed the first one I had. The second just seemed to wear out. The latest developed a rattle (never dropped) & now every time it restarts it goes to the same song (at first it would go to the beginning of the track I listened to last, very important if you use flash drives over 256 MB) Next time I'll buy the (VRFM8)cheaper model that doesn't use sd cards & save $20.

Other: also available at most Walmarts, but $6 more than here

Pros: Works great. Sturdy, withstands engine start-ups w/o unplugging. Easy to change frequencies. Additional mp3 player plug-in is a good feature.

Cons: None.
