Pros: Easy setup - pretty much just plug and play. Instructions were clear, if a bit concise.

Cons: Only handles 4:3 ratios and won't even pretend to try others.

Other: I expected it to work with my wide-screen resolution with either automatic stretching or truncation but it would not display at all until I switched to 4:3 ratio display. Which means it doesn't work well enough for the desktop computer with only one port (the pass through for the display worked fine). However, for the laptops, I was able to easily plug in to the external monitor port and extend my display on to it (which I defined as 1600x1200). TV screen display wasn't the crispest -- but I suspect it is my analog TV at fault there.

Pros: Works fine and was the best deal as well as the most featured I could find on the web in that price range. Plus, being component (as well as other modes) it should be compatible with future TV's as well. Nice product.

Cons: No problems to report.

The pro was that your company replaced the item that was originally purchased.

Works pretty well

Easy to set up, includes all cables needed except audio cable, pretty straightforward to use. Not expensive compared to other VGA-to-TV converters I've seen. The component video output works well for newer/HDTV applications.

Question:

This item will be permently installed into a room where diferent users will connect their laptop to a HD15 connector on a wall plate. I will need to power this device with a power supply, what will I need for that? Also, are any changes that need to be made to the PC output to enable the image to display properly on a 16:9 50" Plasma display via Component input? Thank you

Answer:

This can be externally powered with a 5v 500mA power supply. It will allow pass through from the differnt video signals, however the component output itself is only standard definition. To take better advantage of the resolution of your plasma, you might consider an HDTV adapter like the SW-4280

Question:

I have a laptop (ACER model apire 3000 ) and my TV is Samsung model tx-p3060w. Before to buy it, I would like to know if this converter is going to work? And can you deliver to Toronto?

Answer:

Unfortunately I was unable to find any details on your specific model of Samsung TV, however as long as the TV has component inputs it should work well with your Acer 3000. We can also ship directly to you in Toronto
