Overview

This USB to PS/2 Adapter (Converter) allows you to connect your PS/2 mouse and/or PS/2 keyboard to a USB port.

The adapter is great for laptops that don't have PS/2 ports. Now you can plug your PS/2 mouse and keyboard into your laptop in a matter of seconds!

Only one-foot long, the cable is easy to stow away and carry from place to place. If you are looking for a longer USB to PS/2 adapter, just add a USB extension cable to your order.

You can also use this adapter in connection with the PS/2 KVM Switch.

Pros: Works great as long as both PC you are connecting together are PS2.

Cons: Cannot be used with a machine that is setup for USB.

Other: Tried it on my new Dell Inspiron 530, that is only USB to make other PC slave. It would not let us copy and paste and caused other weird errors.

Tried many and only one worked: Sewell Direct USB to PS2 Adapter

craigwi - 1/29/2016 9:30:46 PM

Worked with my odd-ball mouse (MS Intellimouse Trackball) and keyboard (MS Natural Keyboard) where NONE of the others I tried worked.

Questions

Question:

Does this device act like actual PS2 ports so that windows will see my device (PS2 Cirque Cruisecat) as what it really is or will it show me a generic mouse?

Answer:

Good question - when you plug your device into the USB to PS2 Adapter your system will see the device exactly as it would if you had a legacy PS/2 port available. However, the USB to PS/2 is not compatible with all devices - while we have a very high success rate, we cannot guarantee that it will work with yoru PS2 Cirque Cruisecat. If there is a compatibility problem, however, we will issue a refund.

If your mouse has specific drivers you will need to install them before you will have the fully functionality of the mouse.
