  • i have a mcf-845cw all in one by brother usa what kind will i neen for my all in one mcf
    • Unfortunately, All-in-one printers cannot be adapted to USB. er is an all-in-one or multi-function printer. Those types of printers cannot be adapted to work on USB. That printer must be plugged into a true parallel port for it to work. If you are trying to install the printer on a desktop computer you can install a card like this one: Parallel PCI card, part SW-1473. If you are trying to install it on a laptop that has a PCMCIA slot you can use this one: Quatech Parallel PCMCIA card, part SW-1485. If you are trying to install it on a laptop that has an ExpressCard slot you can use this one: Quatech Parallel ExpressCard adapter, part SW-8662. Those should be able to provide full functionality with your printer.

  • I am trying to connect four Zebra printers to a new HP desktop running XP. I would like to use the USB ports to accomplish this. Can I connect four Zeba printers to the PC using the USB to Parrallel cables? Can I name them ports 1,2,3,4?
    • Yes (we have used these adapters with Zebra Label printers in our shipping warehouse) They will all install separately, however your software must be able to recongize the different printers (some software can't recognize multiple printers of the same type) Your comptuer will see them as USB printers, so they will likely be assigned to USB 001, USB 002, USB 003 etc.

  • We have an HP-2400 series docking station - We need to hook up with HP 8150DN Laserjet printer. It requires mini centronics. Do you have USB to mini centronics parallel printer cable. We need 10' long or I can purchase USB extension cable if needed. Please respond. Thanks.
  • If this one will not work with my all-in-one hp laserjet 3330, which one will that you sell?
    • All-in-one printers that are not built to run on USB cannot be adapted to run on a USB port. If your computer does not have a parallel port to run it on, you must add one to that computer. If you are trying to install the printer on a desktop computer you can install a card like this one: Parallel PCI Card If you are trying to install it on a laptop that has a PCMCIA slot you can use this one: Quatech Parallel PCMCIA card If you are trying to install it on a laptop that has an ExpressCard slot you can use this one: Quatech Parallel ExpressCard Those should be able to provide full functionality with your printer. If you have any further questions please let me know. Thanks.

  • I want to connect an HP 4100N printer to a new iMac G5 or preferably a wireless home network. will the SW-1302 work or do you have a better alternative?
    • The SW-1302 will work to connect that printer to your iMac as long as your printer is not a multi-function printer and as long as you can get a Mac OS compatible driver for the printer. Another option is to put your printer on your network using a print server. If the printer is near your wireless router where you can run an ethernet cable to it, you could use the Intellinet Print Server, Parallel port, part SW-8038.
