Pros: Add an additional monitor (3 now on my notebook system) cheaply.

Cons: Occasionally the cursor will "run into the wall" between my normal external and the USB device 3rd monitor. I can "hit the wall" a couple of times and get over to the 3rd monitor.

Other: I am now curious what the game performance and how many additional monitors I might be able to add in this manner...

Pros: Works great for extended desktop.

Cons: I ordered 5 of these and I have tried to get the mirrored desktop to work on three different systems. None have worked so far. The screen blacks and then the product doesn't work at all. I have had to reinstall the software just to get the extended view working again.

Question:

Has your answer to Number 3 changed as DisplayLink now lists this adapter as compatible with their new Mac beta driver?

Answer:

This USB SVGA adapter does not use the DisplayLink chipset - we do not currently have a Mac driver available for this adapter. We do have a USB to VGA with DisplayLink and USB to DVI Adapters by DisplayLink that include DVI to VGA converters.
