Overview

You can use this premium passive extension cable to extend the length of any USB device by 10 feet.

If you need to extend beyond 16 feet, you will need a USB 2.0 Active Extension Cable.

The USB 2.0 passive extension cable allows for speeds of up to 480 Mbps. The device is compatible with older USB 1.1 devices, but will work at the slower USB 1.1 speed (12 Mbps).

Need to extend your USB even more? Try our U-Link True USB 2.0 Over Single Cat5 Extender (up to 200 ft.)

Pros: Great USB extension cord. I use it for a printer in my home office and it works perfectly. I will get another one for other USB extending uses. Priced right and received it quickly using USPS.

Cons: None.

What's to say? It's a USB extension cord at a good price. No problems here.

Questions

Question:

I just purchased a Cannon Class D 320 scanner/printer for my office, and do not have a USB cord for it. Do I need a perticular kind? I have a Compaque presario with windows Xp They are both very close to each other so would not need more than 5 or 6 ft in length.

Answer:

Usually USB printers use USB A to B cables. If the USB port is relatively square on the printer, then that will be the cable you need.
