Use the same adapter for any of your 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch drives.The adapter is intelligently designed to allow a Serial ATA drive attached on the side and an IDE drive in the front. The adapter comes complete with an included adapter to turn the adapter's native 2.5-inch IDE interface into a 3.5-inch IDE interface. Transfer data between the two drives when both drives are simultaneously attached.

Pros: compared to others adapters its fast read write, overall great product

Pros: Great product. Now I don't need to fuss with three separate adapters. Goes from laptop drive to SATA drive to IDE drive flawlessly.
Cons: No cons really. Perhaps it could be a little less expensive.

Answer:
Yes this adapter includes an AC power adapter to power the HD. If the HD you are using is a 2.5" drive it will get power directly from the USB connection.
