HDMI Splitter Options:
The Sewell 1x2 HDMI Splitter features HDMI Ethernet Channel, Full 3D support, and 4Kx2K Resolution Support. Take any HDMI source and split it between two outputs simultaneously, allowing users to view duplicates of a single HDMI source. This 1x2 HDMI Splitter provides a high quality digital reproduction with no distortion and is very easy to use.
If you have a 1080p TV and a 720p TV, the signal sent to both from the splitter will end up being 720p unless you use a downscaler between the splitter and the 720p TV. That way, each TV will display the highest possible resolution.
This splitter is loaded with the latest advanced technology capable of supporting your equipment's latest features. The high quality parts used in this product allow its users to operate at a frequency of 225MHz. This HDMI splitter is compatible with all HDMI sources and supports HDCP.
The HDMI organization has recently upgraded HDMI to include several new and exiting functions. HDMI v1.3 cables are already being phased out by the superior HDMI v1.4 cables. The problem is that most HDMI devices (including splitters) do not support these new functions. This HDMI splitter will allow you to enjoy several of the new functions of HDMI v1.4.
HDMI Ethernet ChannelAllows you to use HDMI devices that are IP enabled such as HDTVs and Blu-Ray players with Ethernet enabled features. This would allow you to use your Netflix instant viewing app on your new Ethernet enabled HDTV, for instance.
This cable has added 3D support, supporting every brand and type of active and non-active 3D protocols.
This future proofs your HDMI cable; supporting resolutions that far surpass 1080p (4096×2160 p24 to be exact, 1080p is 1920x1080).
Content Type Control
Your HDTV can now tell what is connected to it (for supported devices), allowing it to automatically adjust settings to best reproduce your video source's resolution, color setting, and more.
Additional Color Spaces/Spectrums
There are some colors that the RGB spectrum does not include, and many of these color spectrums are being incorporated in digital still photography and other applications, such as sYCC601, Adobe RGB, and Adobe YCC601 color spaces.

I would like to split a 3d hdmi signal to a 3d tv and to a non-3d capable receiver (Denon 4308ci) -- will this device allow this while retaining 3d compatibility to the tv, or do both outputs have to support 3d?
Generally speaking, both outputs have to be capable of 3D, however we have seen exceptions to that rule. Unless you're willing to gamble, it's not safe to assume that it will work with your device.
