Pros: It works, people! I've got a Toshiba Satellite A505 laptop, that I purchased mainly for work and net surfing. Didn't expect any gaming to take place. But then there was StarCraft 2 and my whole world changed. I got the game and it was fun, but it was chunky even set to "Low". I got the ViDock 4 and an ATI Radeon 5770 and the game is now FLUID on "Ultra!" Super easy to set up, very pleased so far and would highly recommend to anyone in the same intergrated-GPU jam that I was in!

Cons: Express Card cord is just a little short.

Other: Keep away from children. It gets HOT.

Pros: It works great and is easy to install. I have a HIS ATi 5770, works flawless and runs cool. The sound and heat depends on your card.

Cons: No paper work or instruction. There are some videos on youtube to help out but thats about it. Maybe emailing vidock can help you out. I personally had no trouble setting this up so this is barely a con.

Other: I'm running this on a Sony Vaio. It went from me barely able to play games to me being able to play any game I have(some one highest quality). Best results occur when the only thing that is holding you back is a crappy or intergrated video card. The only thing I would say is that the computer must be off before you plug in the laptop express cable when starting the computer after installing your graphics card drivers. Setup Video found on youtube: This is helpful. This is for a lenovo but the hardware setup and some of the software setup is universal. He talks about switching your intergrated card on and off but I did not have to do this. For me it was simply plug and play. I think for most people it is this way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXiQ6-6rcY0

Works Well

Pros: Easy tool-less installation, quality metal components, good fit and finish, works well

Cons: The power cord and the Express Card cord are way too short. I have to keep the ViDock4 next to my notebook computer. The result is a huge tangle of wires on my desktop and limited ability to move my notebook around.

Other: Please run the Express Card cord out of the FRONT rather than the BACK of the unit. This way, users don't have a huge tangle of wires facing them, since you're forced to place the ViDock4 with backside facing toward the notebook computer.

Pros: Price, performance, unique solution for gaming laptop, for designers who need to use photoshop CS4/CS5 and large 30" monitors including dual monitor solutions. ability to use most ATI video cards.

Cons: Only has one(1) 6 pin power connector, so the more powerful video card to fit in, would be a radeon 5770 or 4850.

Other: I really love it my blu-ray movies now look outstanding with it.

Great Product

Pros: Wonderful Product, does everything it's supposed to. Supports a TON of cards out there, so you have a wide variety of choices.

Cons: Having one 6-pin connector is a bit of a limiter, but most cards can support only one anyway. For some reason everytime I install Catalyst Control Center, it stops functionality of my ViDock graphics to my PC

Other: I am currently running an ATI Radeon 4670 1gb DDR3 and can play Crysis at 1920 x 1080 with medium settings and 30 FPS. One of the best products money can buy, in my opinion. Upgrading to a Radeon 5770 later this week, So I'll be pumping out even more power!

Amazing product

Pros: Works as advertised Supports most graphics cards on the market Sleek Design Durable Well Ventilated

Cons: 6-pin connector leaves it a bit limited Heavy

Other: What can I say? I was iffy on buying this product, as I've been skeptical about how it works.I was suprised with the results this item gave me! I currently have an XFX Radeon 5770 1GB and I can run Crysis quite well! This is defnitely a must-buy for gaming enthusiasts with a budget

Pros: I finally got it to work after working with Sewell tech support. I tried to contact the mfg but they couldn't even bother sending me an email.

Cons: As mentioned before the mfg won't help you with it. It doesn't seem like a very elegant solution - why does it have to connect through the expresscard slot instead of USB? Maybe it's a bandwidth issue but it seems so limiting.

Other: I'm glad I got it through Sewell so I could actually get some help. Their techs couldn't replicate my problem but were able to find a workaround that made it work (warning, I had to change a setting in my bios but I'm comfortable doing that)
