Question:

Does this product support usb 2? thanks.

Answer:

Yes, the USB to Serial adapter will work in a USB 2.0 port. However, It does not require a USB 2.0 port due to the fact that the serial connection is much slower than USB 1.1 anyway. It will work fine on either a USB 2.0 or a USB 1.1 type port.

Question:

I need an adapter, serial to usb serial has to be female. What do you suggest?

Answer:

Since USB to Serial adapters are built to add a serial COM port to a computer and computer's serial ports are male, these adapters are male as well. If you do need it to be female I would recommend using a USB to serial adapter like the SW-1301 and a Female to Female Gender Changer, DB9, part SW-1803. That will change the end of the cable to female.

Question:

I have a Palm Portable Keyboard. Is there anyway I can use this with a laptop via USB. Is there a cable that will connect the keyboard with a palm connector and USB on the other end to connect to the laptop. If so do I need software to make it work.

Answer:

If you could connect them, you would need to find a driver for it. It is possible they just use standard keyboard drivers, in which case you would just connect them and you'd be ready to go. I can't help you connecting them because I am unfamiliar with the interface palm portable keyboards use.
