Coiled USB A to Micro B Cable 6 ft.
Get connected with the Sewell 6ft Coiled Micro USB Cable. It is a USB 2.0 cable that features a standard Type-A USB connector on one end and a Micro Type-B connector on the other end, allowing you to connect any device with a micro USB port to your computer or USB charger. Most smartphones, tablets, cameras, digital camcorders, and MP3 players use micro USB ports.
For devices that use an older version of USB (1.0 or 1.1), this cable is also backward compatible.
- USB 2.0 compatible
- Coiled cable, extends up to 6 ft
- Durable construction
- Compatible with all micro USB devices
- Backward compatible
This patch cable has been coiled to make it small enough that it’s easy to take with you, but it will still give you a full 6 ft of length if you need it. By making the cable coiled it is also much less likely to get tangled, which is good if you plan on putting it in your glove box, center console, backpack, or computer bag when you’re not using it.
USB Version Numbers
The USB version number (1.0, 1.1, 2.0, 3.0) refer to the transfer speed that can be achieved. The higher the number, the faster that device can transfer data. USB 1.0 maxes out at only 12 mbps (megabits per second), whereas USB 2.0 can get up to 480 mbps, and USB 3.0 can achieve speeds of up to 5,000 mbps.
However, to take complete advantage of higher transfer speeds, the “host” (what you are connecting your device to, like your computer), the device (like your smartphone), and the cable must all have the same version.
For example, if you have an external hard drive and a cable that both use USB 3.0, but your computer only has a USB 2.0 port, everything will still work, but you will only achieve USB 2.0 speeds.
