Overview

The 2:1 VGA and YPbPR to VGA switch takes and switches two video sources and displays them in high resolution formats. Plug your gaming system of choice or DVD player in via RCA component (YPbPr) and share a single monitor with a PC or other VGA source.

Switching is simple. With the push of a button audio and video can be routed in up to 1080p or 1600x1200 @ 75hz. The output works iwth HDTV, CRT or TFT. The unit it self is small and indiscreet enough to be an easy addition to your home theater or PC setup.

VGA Hometheatre

In the times of yore geeks despaired because when switching between PC games and console games they would have to physically move to a different room. Or even move their body to look at a different display. Why have two mediocre displays that you have to switch between when you can put all that money into one nice display to share tasks. Save your neck , power and money with a simple A/V switch.

Pros: * It's small and easy to install * Comes with a RCA audio cable extender * The image is perfect when using with a HD device such as PS3

Cons: * Doesn't come with a VGA cable * Lack of a manual instruction

Other: If you don't want to buy a new TV and want to connect HD devices on it, it's the best product available in the market!

Better than I expected

I've never had a Hdtv before so it hard to give a comparison but the picture I get using a NEC MultiSync XV29 plus monitor I picked up on Ebay for less than $100 and a digital cable box at 1080i and 720p is great.

MayFlash YPbPr converter

Great unit at a great price. Converted picture quality compares favorably to devices costing hundreds more. It came with a one-page hookup diagram which will make video system hookups idiot-proof even for advanced idiots.

Question:

I have a video projector that is not HD, will this improve my picture at all?

Answer:

The only case in which you would see an improvement is if your projector supports a higher resolution only through the VGA port. This box changes the format of the video, but not the resolution.

Yes, this box will support up to 1080p, however from what I can tell, it doesn't appear that your monitor will support full 1080p resolutions.

Question:

If I buy this, what DVI to VGA converters do I need? I have a Viewsonic VA2226w monitor. Also, why does this need to be plugged into the computer? Is this the best box, if I want to hook up my ps3 to the monitor? -Joe

Answer:

The best solution for your particular setup would probably be to get an HDMI to DVI cable to run from the HDMI port on your PS3 to the DVI-D input on your Viewsonic Monitor.
