"Ordering process was easy and product arrived faster than I had expected. Thanks."

Note:If your computer (or other VGA source) is outputing 1080p already, we recommend you check out the Hammerhead which does not attempt to scale your image. This product's specialty is scaling lower resolutions to get up to 1080p.

The Sewell Manta is used to convert any VGA source into 1080p HDMI with integrated audio (HDMI cable, VGA cable, and audio cable sold separately). This allows you to convert the VGA output from your Laptop or PC to HDMI making your HD TV or monitor an extended display for your computer. Now you can enjoy all the content from your computer including movies, Netflix, YouTube, home videos/ pictures, presentations, and so much more in high definition 1080p on your big screen TV.

connection diagram

Unlike many VGA to HDMI converters the Manta also supports audio. The Manta will convert the analog audio signal from your computer into digital audio. Simply connect a 3.5mm audio cable from the headphone jack on your computer to the audio input on the Manta. The audio is then coupled with the VGA signal and both are converted HDMI which will carry the audio and video to your TV.

Scaling to 720 or 1080p

This converter includes a scaling capability that will fit numerous VGA and Component Video resolutions to your HDMI TV. This ensures easy set-up. You'll never have to worry about fiddling around with your computer's resolutions just to fit your HDMI TV, only to change it back again when you want to use your computer monitor.

NOTE: Does NOT include HDMI cable, VGA cable, or audio cable, all of which are needed to use this device.

Pros: We have all been frustrated with the concept of Plug and Play. Actually it should be called Plug and spend four hours and six phone calls before it plays. I was skeptical about a $100 product that sounded to good to be true. Surprised! Shocked. It took less than four minutes to setup. It worked instantly; right out of the box. I have a laptop connected through the box to a 32" HD TV. The video quality is absolutely HD. Buy with confidence.

Cons: None
