Overview

This adapter allows you to convert a 9-pin male serial connector to a 25-pin male serial connector. Also, you can convert a 25-pin female serial connector to a 9-pin female serial connector.

This is especially useful for using the DB9 to DB25 adapter with our USB to Serial Adapter. The USB to Serial Adapter is a DB9 male adapter, but can easily be adapted to a DB25 male with this nifty converter!

No driver needed, just plug it in and go!

Don't forget to pick up a serial cable!

Question:

For the Part No: SW-1801, what is the pinout for pins 2 and 3? Does 2 go to 3 and 3 go to 2 or is it 2 to 2 and 3 to 3?

Answer:

Here is the pinout: (9 pin > 25 pin) 1>8, 2>3, 3>2, 4>20, 5>7, 6>7, 7>4, 8>5, 9>22. So pins 2 and 3 do switch.
