"The entire process was perfect - good price, good quality, good service, quick delivery."

Don't forget your HDMI Cable!

Now you can take an old analog composite signal (usually yellow RCA interface) or S-Video and upscale it to play on an HDMI display at 720p.

Tested In-House

We know that the first thought that goes through your mind upon finding this product is: "how's the quality?" We have a good price for this, but you're getting much more than you paid for with crisp believable 720p upscaling from a low resolution, standard definition source; we've tested it ourselves. Now you can enjoy content from standard definition gaming consoles, old VCRs, and more.

The scaler also offers settings to help you calibrate, zoom, and change the aspect ratio.

Pros: Easy to hook up

Cons: Terrible video quality. On the display I tested with, the video quality was actually WORSE than if I had just plugged the RCA connectors straight into my HDTV. Blurry, fuzzy and off-centered video signal.

Other: The TV did detect the signal as 720p, but it was a junk 720p signal.

It works

Pros: The device does go from composite or S-Video to HDMI. You don't have to use the composite anymore. It also does sharpen the image

Cons: Depending on the TV, it may not look better

Other: This does let you connect through HDMI and does sharpen the image. However, with sharpening the image from an already low quality signal, you can get more jagged edges and lines. The image can seem pixelated at times. Also, if you have a high contrast ratio, you can see more of the shading the artists used in movies when you use this converter. I would suggest this unit if you need to use HDMI from composite, but don't strongly recommend it if are trying to get a crystal clear picture.
