Works as advertised...just plug in and walla!

I agree with comments made by previous reviewer (Jeremy). The Spider doesn't maintain an EDID handshake to all inputs at all times. The simple task of changing a channel on my cable box breaks the optical (Toslink) digital feed requiring a reset of the receiving DAC. This is ridiculous - to think that this device cannot maintain a steady digital [optical] output. Now I have to design a work-around. Shame Sewell!!!

I was sent an older version of the product, not what they showed on the website. Bait and switch company. I talked with a tech a number of times and sent pictures a few times with no resolution.

A: The product being shipped is not the product shown on this page. (As of 6/8/2020)
B: The product is simply a fancy dual switcher, not a true matrix. Never in my life have I used a matrix that doesn't maintain an EDID handshake to all inputs at all times. Any time you switch the source for an output it has to renegotiate with each relevant device. For a product that claims to let you switch "at will" it's an absolute joke. Might as well just have cables next to me I can just unplug and replug.

C: Can't seem to handle two simultaneous 4K inputs. Outputs start flickering and have horizontal striping frequently.

Save your time, just go to monoprice.
