Input/Output

Description

high-performance 4K@60Hz HDMI Matrix with Four inputs and Four Outputs. Multiple customization options allow it to fit into almost any situation.

IP, RS-232, & IR Control

IP control/RS-232 control allows you to control the switching and splitting from a computer, but it also includes a few advanced features that give you a lot more control over the exact specs of the video you send to each individual display.

It also includes an external IR Receiver cable so you can control the matrix even if it is out-of-sight from the remote.

Manual EDID

Manual EDID

EDID management allows you to treat every display uniquely by manually selecting the specs that each display can support. This unit also has an automatic EDID learning feature so you don't always need to input the EDID information for each display manually.

Audio Extraction

This Matrix has the option to extract the Audio coming out of each HDMI Output and route it to a separate audio system via SPDIF (Digital Coax).

HDCP 2.2 and Backwards Compatible

Like any active HDMI component, you're going to want to start thinking about future HDCP versions. This Matrix gives you the new HDCP 2.2 standard but is also backwards compatible to earlier versions. Since it does supports HDCP 2.2, you can be sure that it will continue to work after you upgrade your displays.

Videos

4K@30Hz vs 4K@60Hz As our TV's get smarter, so does their ability to support higher refresh rates. This matrix supports 4K@60Hz, but why should you care? HDMI 2.0 The main spec to look for in a true HDMI 2.0 switch (including HDMI 2.0a and HDMI 2.0b) is the bandwidth spec. In order to achieve full 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 chroma, the HDMI Switch needs to support 18 Gbps bandwidth.

This switch is a bit buggy - missing features

Pros: doers 8 in and 8 outCons: cannot get any deviceof my devices to send a hdcp 2.2 signal through device, it seems to hang. (tivo roamio, roku ultra) Recently, got a new tivo bolt VOX. It DOES send a 4k hdcp 2.2 signal through device!!!! Hangs alot, requiring a reboot No serial setup available. I did get them to send me the programming guide, and I did build a serial command file for device using Roomie, which works fine. v1.0 firmware is getting very old, 2 years ago was promised a firmware upgrade fixing all sorts of display and setup problems. This NEVEN MATERIALIZED!! Other: For unit price, i was hoping it was a more mature, stable product

Sorry for the issue's you've had, we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. I'll check with the product team and see if there's anything we can do

Doesn’t Serve Any Purpose

Pros: Nice guys and customer service. Cons: The switcher simply will not send a full, intact hdmi signal to a projector and audio processor and work. It chooses to send according to request of one product or the other. So Sony wants only video... 2nd port to Audio processor also only gets video. What on earth is the point of this product. Crestron seems to have it right. One in, and same “full signal” out on all ports. I simply don’t understand the application for this switcher. It doesn’t work for anything I can think of. Other:

I'm glad that you had good luck contacting us, sorry that the proudct didn't work for your needs. that handshaking issue is a consequence of HDMI's two way EDID handshake between all connected sources and displays. It means that, when it works, it works perfectly. It does have some drawbacks over the older, analog methods of sending siganl un-checked though.
