Control all of your home theater video sources (Blu-Ray player, Cable box, TiVo, and anything else that uses a standard IR remote control) from behind walls or closets by extending the IR signal with this kit.
How this works
This kit comes with an IR Receiver, and an IR Emitter. Simply point your remote control at the Receiver, and it will send the signal wirelessly to the Emitter which will then transmit that signal to the devices you wish to control.
This kit can be combined with other BlastIR Wireless Kits to create custom setups.
It supports up to 10 "zones" with independent sending/receiving frequencies. (kind of like different channels on a walkie-talkie). You can change the zone by using a very small rotating switch located at the bottom of the receiver and emitter pucks. The Receivers will only communicate with the Emitters that are set to the same zone.
There are multiple ways to use the BlastIR Wireless PRO. Some setup examples are: One to one, All to All, One to Many, or Many to One. You can also purchase extra Emitters, or Receivers individually if you don't need an extra full pair.

Extend Reach with IR Emitter and Receiver Cable (Optional)
You can use the included Receiver and Emitter cables so further minimize what's seen on your setup. The emitter cable is a "Dual-headed" Emitter so it allows you to control an additional two devices. Magnetic Feet and Adhesive pads are also included to mount the BlastIR Wireless out of sight when using the IR Receiver and Emitter Cables.

Is it receiving power?
Make sure the unit is plugged in completely and receiving power. Once the power cord is plugged in, the light should briefly turn blue when the device turns on, then turn blank, turning back on only when it receives a remote signal. Are the units too far apart?
The intended range between units is around 600 feet and should work around walls and through closed doorways, though the more obstacles there are, the more limited this range becomes. Is each device in the proper spot?
The receiver (blue-ringed device) should be next to the TV (or where you want to send the signal from). The emitter (orange-ringed device) should be next to the cable box or the device you want to control. Are you using the proper cord for each device?
You will want to make sure that the ring of color on the cord and device match in color. Are you receiving a signal?
If the device is not turning blue when you point the remote at it and press a button, it is not receiving a signal.
Here are a few things to check:
- Are you pointing the remote at the receiver?
- Does the remote have fresh batteries?
- Is only one device turning blue?
- Are both devices turning blue, but nothing is happening?
- The following devices are known to be incompatible.
- Yamaha HTR 6140
- Arris DCX 3520E-M
- OSD ATM-7 Speaker Selector device
Make sure that the device you are trying to send a signal to is the receiver (blue-ringed device).
Replacing the Batteries can increase the remote signal strength to help the repeater to have a stronger signal to send.
Make sure both of the units are on the same channel. The dial on the bottom side of the device should point towards a number. Changing the number changes the channel they are operating on. This number should be the same on both devices.
Try using the Emitter cable included with the package. It is teardrop-shaped and has two heads; you may have to try a couple of times, but finding the IR eye of your device and placing one of the heads in front of it can greatly boost reliability.
The device is to have a blue signal only when it receives a signal from your remote. If it is constantly blue, that means it is receiving interference from a nearby device. The most common culprit for this has proven to be a Mesh network. If it is turning blue constantly, distancing it from nearby devices, and changing the channel the BlastIR units are operating can be helpful.

7/28/17 Increased compatibility with Dish and Cisco boxes
Many people use the BlastIR Wireless with their current cable box. Every time we hear a report about a cable box (or any other device) not working with the BlastIR Wireless, we get to work on making the device compatible. This update helps those with a Dish or Cisco box.
6/1/18 Increased compatibility with Explorer, Spectrum, and Samsung boxes
Further widening the range of compatibility of the BlastIR Wireless. This update helps those with Explorer, Spectrum, or Samsung boxes.
6/1/18 Increased font size in manual
We found that the text size in the manual was simply too small. It has been enlarged throughout the manual to better use the space and make it easier to read.
8/30/18 Included magnet feet
With the release of our new Magnet Feet, we have decided to include two in every BlastIR Wireless box. A magnet foot is simply an adhesive rubber "dot" with a magnet embedded inside. After placed on the bottom of the BlastIR Wireless "puck" you can place it on metal surfaces such as the back of your TV or the TV mount itself. This could also keep the unit in place in your equipment cabinet or rack. We have also included a page in the manual to describe this.

Over a distance of about 50 ft through one glass window, the units do not connect except for rare occasions, tested over a couple weeks, I will be switching to a wired solution to guarantee reliability, I was hoping these would work better
Im sorry to hear that the product hasn't been working out for you! Please feel free to reach out to our customer service if there is anything we can do to help or if you would like to set up a return.
The device was relatively easy to set up once you determine where to locate the devices.
I loved the size and for the most part it does what I needed. The disappointment came when we realized that it wouldn't turn the AV Receiver power on/off, but we were still able to control the volume and inputs etc.
We are trying to control the AV Receiver that is stored behind a drywall wall. The TV is in the living and the receiver is behind a wall in a closet.
It was a relatively low cost solution and it meets most of our needs.
That is odd, the power on and off with the receiver should be working just fine. Please reach out to our support at firstname.lastname@example.org or give us a call and we'd love to help get that resolved.
Works exactly as advertised. Allowed for the use of a single controller with AVR, DVR, phono and CD player in the back of the room.
This is the second set of these I am deploying in my house. Both utilize equipment in cabinets, and the most recent included signals between floors of my home. Even multiple transmitters in different rooms to a single receiver work flawlessly. Simple to set up (just have that tiny screwdriver to set a channel), plug them in, attach the receiver/emitters (if you need them), and "click" away with your remote. I've even used them to put an IR signal into another system.
Simply stated, "They Just Work!"
