How it works

Use the HL17 to extend your HDMI and IR signals over a single Cat5e/Cat6 cable for up to 160 ft (50M). This kit comes with one sender unit and one receiver unit. Both are linked together through the Cat5e/6 cable.

HDMI over Long distances

HDMI over Cat5 technology is vital to scenarios where high definition digital signals must be extended over long distances. This booster will overcome this distance limitation while providing a more cost effective cabling solution as well.

Why use Pure Copper cable?

Ethernet cable is a fraction of the cost of long HDMI cable, making this solution by far the most cost effective and least labor intensive solution available. However, to get the best results you must use Pure Copper Cat5e/6 cable. Cheaper quality cable will not handle the long distances reliably.

Looked for a solution

Everything I purchased from Sewell has worked better than advertised

Works Great

Had to try a couple of switch positions but once I found the right combination it works great. Will be buying more for other projects.

Excellent device for the price

Pros: Works great. Was able to use two 50 foot Ethernet cables connected with an adapter and still end result was a perfect image. Then tested with a 150ft Ethernet, and same perfect results. Do not need power supply on receiving unit to operate.Cons: Competitor product has a similar device that is powered by USB instead of an AC power supply. Would love to see this ability for convenience for my needs.Other: Would definitely recommend this product.

Not set it and forget it...

Pros: -Small form factor easily concealed behind TV. -PoC works great -hdmi loop through good for testing when you have no picture on receiver TV Cons: -Package comes with 2 power supplies, even though you only need one. -Some of my packages were missing IR flashers and the small screws. -EQ adjustment is on the receiver. You have to take the TV off the wall to make adjustments. -Manual does show clearly the position of the EQ dip switches. -In the past I used SW-29969. These are Rock solid. No configuration. Unfortunately these are not PoC or transmit HDOther: Units works good but troubleshooting is not easy.

Thanks, that's great feedback. I'll make sure to pass that along to our product team.

Works great

Pros: Cons: Other: Working great over 50 ft. of Cat6 from a DirecTV DVR in the living room to a TV in the kitchen. The power over cable was a nice surprise so I didn't need another power supply at the remote end. The HDMI loop thru on the transmit side eliminates an HDMI splitter at the source. There's an equalizer DIP switch to compensate for longer cable lengths.
