Once the power cord is plugged in, the light should briefly turn blue when the device turns on, then turn blank, turning back on only when it receives a remote signal.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cb\u003eAre the units too far apart?\u003c\/b\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe intended range between units is around 600 feet and should work around walls and through closed doorways, though the more obstacles there are, the more limited this range becomes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cb\u003eIs each device in the proper spot?\u003c\/b\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe receiver (blue-ringed device) should be next to the TV (or where you want to send the signal from). The emitter (orange-ringed device) should be next to the cable box or the device you want to control.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cb\u003eAre you using the proper cord for each device?\u003c\/b\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou will want to make sure that the ring of color on the cord and device match in color.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cb\u003eAre you receiving a signal?\u003c\/b\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf the device is not turning blue when you point the remote at it and press a button, it is not receiving a signal.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHere are a few things to check:\n\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eAre you pointing the remote at the receiver?\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMake sure that the device you are trying to send a signal to is the receiver (blue-ringed device).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eDoes the remote have fresh batteries?\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eReplacing the Batteries can increase the remote signal strength to help the repeater to have a stronger signal to send.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eIs only one device turning blue?\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMake sure both of the units are on the same channel. The dial on the bottom side of the device should point towards a number. Changing the number changes the channel they are operating on. This number should be the same on both devices.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eAre both devices turning blue, but nothing is happening?\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTry using the Emitter cable included with the package. If it is constantly blue, that means it is receiving interference from a nearby device. The most common culprit for this has proven to be a Mesh network.
