Wireless PC to TV converter, 2.4 GHz Reviews - GWB-4000

Pros: easy to connect

Cons: Range is terrible. Can't even transmit from my living room to my bedroom in a small apartment with dry walls. Works only if they are exposed to each other and there are no walls between them.

Cons: Item was not functional upon receipt, as the buttons to activate the various functions (menu, zoom, fine tune, save etc.) were installed incorrectly. None of the functions worked as they should. I was forced to disassemble the case and found the keys were mis-aligned with the contact switches inside. I fixed this, re-assembled the case and everything then worked as it should. Next problem, the maximum resolution available (not in the advertisement) is too low to give readable text on my 42-inch Plasma TV. 1080P is needed for this. The unit is unusable for it's intended purpose. Since I was forced to open the case to fix the button problem, I assume I have no recourse and have wasted $125.00. If I return the item, will you refund my money?

We are currently working with suppliers on a wireless HDMI adapter that supports higher resolutions - hopefully that will be a better fit for people who want to use their TV as a computer monitor.

Pros: Great way to send videos from my computer to the living room without running messy cables. I have a lot of video files on my computer, (I use my computer like a TiVo). But I don't want to hook up my comptuer to my TV in the living room.

Cons: The video isn't perfect, I'd say about like a VHS, but is consistent. Ocasionally I get some static in the audio. Not bad for wireless.

Other Comments: I rent a basement apartment in an old house. Lots of steel pipes and concrete, the computer is only about 20 feet from the living room, but there are two walls inbetween. I didn't have very high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. Running a wire would still probably be better, but since it's a rental, I can't really put holes in the walls. I'm happy with this.

Pros: I received the pc to tv 2.4 converter and I connected the whole thing up in a couple of minutes. The images on the tv were normal as if it were on the pc. I would recommend it to everyone.

Cons: none, it worked great
