William - Warning: 1920x1080 NOT supported
7/8/2008 3:04:38 PM
1 stars

Pros: Seems like a great product, almost, but with one major shortcoming.

Cons: Does NOT support 1920x1080 on DVI. Closest is 1920x1200, but that won't help if your monitor or display is 1920x1080, as mine is.

Other Comments: Too bad, was really hoping this would work.

Pros: * Simple to set up * Works with pretty much any monitor * Seamless integration of desktops

Cons: * Manual is a little cryptic, could use better-written directions * Not for the novice user

Other Comments: Generally speaking a good product at the price, expands the desktop space seamlessly. I now have 3 monitors (laptop + VGA + DVI) working as one desktop with no screen flicker or ghost image issues. The card is only marred by a weak instructional manual which doesn't do as good a job as it could in walking the user through the setup required. I'm not an IT admin, but I'm more sophisticated than the average user and eventually I was able to puzzle it out. Definitely not for the novice user.

Anonymous - Great for Monitors not for TVs

Pros: Works well for creating a 3rd monitor to output to. Adjusts the UI to take better advantage of multiple monitors.

Cons: Software is difficult to install and configure. Does not work well for LCD TVs without a driver. Could not get desktop cloning to work with the included software or the windows default software.

Other Comments: Bought this product to output video to an LCD TV at higher resolutions. Without a driver, the highest resolution achieved was 1024x768 which can be done for free with a VGA cable. If you're using this product to extend your desktop to another computer monitor it will work quite well.
