Pros: This is a great tool. I used it to recover files from a hard drive that was in my crashed PC (bad motherboard). It worked perfectly.

Cons:

Pros: Easy setup. Vista recognized it as another h/d without having to load anyof the included software. Fast data transfer. My old computer died. I thought I'd just put the old h/d's into the new computer as additional drives, but the new one does not have an IDE head on the motherboard. This adapter allowed me to transfer everything I needed off of two hard drives, and so in very little time I was up and running on the new computer with all my data! Thank-you Sewell Direct!

Cons: Absolulely none!

Other Comments: Kind of wierd running a hard drive while it's just sitting there on the desk! If you have a lot of stuff to transfer, you might want to prop the hard drive up on a couple of pencils or other objects to help with airflow around the drive. Mine got pretty warm during the transfer.

Pros: This works fine, it saves time and enables options just the way I imagined it should.

Cons: Non really but, If anything, you'll be informed that a 'High speed" usb will be optimal for running this device, but it won't fail.

Other Comments: If you need a USB adapter to retrieve data off of older IDE hard drives, this is the tool. Mine works perfectly!
