• Does its parallel port support also other devices (it is LPT-to-USB adapter?) or it is printer-only port (usb-printing-support port) ? Thanx
  • The parallel port installs as USB printing support. It will not install as a true LPT port.

  • This docking station does not have a video output. To get a video output through the USB port you can use Gefen's USB to DVI Display Adapter, part SW-8990. That part can output either a DVI or a VGA (RGB) video signal that you could run to the projector.

• I would I get a modem connection with this dock? Would I need an external modem connected to the dock's serial port? Or could I somehow make use of the internal modem from my laptop?
  • This dock does not add a modem connection. It does add an ethernet network connection that can be used to get onto high speed internet services. If you need a USB dial up modem i would recommend using the External USB 56k Modem, SW-6609.

• I have an acer aspire one mini notebook(8.9'') can I use this docking staion to hook to my printer and desktop monitor?
  • So long as your notebook has an avilable usb port and you are running Windows XP/ME/2000/98SEIBM and have a PC with 233 MHz Pentium or faster than this will work for you. It does not support video.
