  • I have two mac G4's and I want to share keyboard and mouse. Do you have anything that can do that?
    • The best option we have to switch two devices between Mac computers would be the SW-2203

  • What type of connectors are on the switch and what cables are required?
    • The switch has two (2) female USB type A connections and two (2) female USB type B connections. The A ports are where the peripherals (e.g. printer) are connected. The B ports are where the computer is connected to the switch. The switch comes with one (1) standard USB (A-B) cable which is 6 feet in length. You will need one standard USB cable for each computer and one for each peripheral. (i.e. if you have two computers and two printers, you will need a total of four standard USB (A-B) cables).

  • Can I hook up one Vista computer and one XP computer to one printer through this?
    • Unfortunately, this is not compatible with Vista so that set up will not work.

  • I think I know the answer but will ask anyway, will it work with ps3 and XP computer with external HD?
    • First off, this switch will only work with computers because they require software to be installed on each computer that is connected to the switch. Second, this box will only automatically share a printer. All other devices are shared manually through the software. You should be able to accomplish that task manually using a manual USB share switch. That will work as long as the hard drive works fine with each of those devices directly.

  • Is there such a thing as an automatic USB switch that can connect a Mac computer and a PC to one printer?
    • An auto switch will not work but a manual switch will. Try the SW-8337 . It is designed to work with the set up you are describing.
