    • Unfortunately the manufacturer has only released drivers for this device to function Windows 98 SE and onward.

  • You say that one only needs to plug it in and install the driver. But don't you also need to connect a power cable from an existing usb port to power this device? That isn't clear, and you make no mention of using a power cable or of a power cable being furnished with the device. Sure looking for someone to clarify just exactly how these pcmcia usb cards work. I'd like to simply use a wireless mouse and a flashdrive. Arent' these low power devices? Would they need the power cable in order to function from your pcmcia card?
    • There is a power connection for this card, but the card is optional, and in this model, it is not included. While both of your devices will draw power from the USB ports, (some devices have their own power supplies) neither should draw much power and your PCMCIA port should provide enough power on its own. Typically only exernal hard drives or USB chargers will draw enough power to require extra power.
