    • Yes, The USB adpapter will give you a virtual com port that will show up in the Ports category of the device manager. You can use all of the standard serial controls (baud rate, parity etc). It is compatible with Hyperterminal, as long as you assign the adapter to com 1-4.

  • In my computer serial port has been damaged.Ineed to up load and download programs mostly in plc's like allen Bradly.I have four usb ports and Will this cable work.?

  • I am getting data from a device through USB (male port)and that data has to read through the serial port of a microcontroller, if is it possible.If so what is the proceedure.
    • I'm afraid that we don't have a solution for that scenario. This adapter is designed to do the opposite, and will not work "backwards".
