Standalone Computer Monitor TV Tuner Questions - TV-LCDHR

• Description says no pc needed, but requirements say PC or Mac required. Which is true. Want something that only requires the monitor.
  • In order to use your monitor as a TV the tuner does not require a computer. The tuner does also have the ability to pass your computer video signal through to the monitor as well. The mention of a requirement of PC or Mac is specifying that, if you want to also hook a computer up to the monitor, it needs to have a VGA connection on it. Again, to just use the monitor as a TV, a computer is not required.

  • You will only need the VGA connection to the monitor, and an input from one of the video sources (Composite, RCA or S-Video) Audio can be run through the integrated speaker, or out to a set of external speakers with a 3.5mm jack.

• I assume the TV tuner is a digital tuner capable of receiving HD signals? Is that correct?
  • This uses an analog NTSC tuner, it will not pick up HD signals.

• Does This product work in Australia? I'm a bit confused about whether you need a computer or not. I have a spare 19" monitor, but no hard drive. Will it work without any pc input at all?
