The Fireface 800 combines all the best FireWire technologies to create the most advanced FireWire audio interface ever. Even the drivers are refined to perfection making this unit reliable and efficient.
Analog I/O
The highest possible fidelity and dynamic range is ensured with the eight balanced line inputs/outputs. Each input has software controlled switching of the reference levels between -10 dBV, +4dBu, and HiGain. Nearly all the device settings are conveniently controlled through software with manual controls for the microphone pre-amps and headphone outputs right on the face of the Fireface.
The Fireface uses the latest A/D and D/A converters operating all your inputs and outputs at up to 192 KHz with 119 dBA dynamic range - even from the headphone jack. The headphone jack can also be used with ASIO direct monitoring.
Four phantom-powered balanced microphone inputs are found right on the front of the Fireface. The XLR and TRS inputs are separated allowing you the ultimate control of your configuration. The TRS connections can be used as adjustable line-ins with a gain range of 50 dB.

Digital I/O
Effects devices, mixing consoles, and external converters can be connected through the two ADAT optical I/Os. These channels are available alongside the regular analog inputs.
