The Wireless Device Server allows you to connect one serial RS-232 (DB-9) device to your 802.11b wireless network. With a wireless LAN connection, you can allow multiple users to use the same serial device without having to be directly connected. You can have remote device monitoring and management through a LAN, as well.
Any device with a DB-9 serial port can be connected to your wireless local area network. This connectivity option is useful in the medical, POS, industrial, miltary, and even scientific applications. Security measures are provided through a WEP and WPA access encryptions. This is an easy to use plug-and-play device with very few products to worry about.
Provided in the package is the Serial DB-9 Wireless Device Server with built-in cable, AC power adapter and cord, mounting cradle (mounting hardware is user supplied), female to female null modem adapter, female RS-232 loop back adapter, quick start guide and CD with PDF, user's guide, and driver/config utility.
