Computer manufacturers rarely include
serial ports in the newer systems they build. Add 16 independent RS-422/RS-485 serial ports to any system while using just one single
USB port. Each port is configurable to be RS-422 or RS-485 compatible.
The Quatech 16-port USB to Serial adapter allows the continued use of legacy devices by creating 16 independent serial ports that enumerate themselves as standard COM ports that are completely transparent to software. Each port on this model also features surge suppression.
Quatech serial adapters allow plug and play features and are hot-swappable. Another advantage to using the adapter is the ability to implement RS-422 or RS-485 ports (16 at a time) while using only one USB port. In addition, Quatech USB Serial Adapters contain deep data FIFOs and use an accelerated UART clock frequency to further boost data rates. A single port on the adapter can typically achieve up to 460.8kbps.
