The Quatech 1-port USB 2.0 to Serial adapter allows the continued use of legacy devices by creating 1 independent serial port that enumerates itself as a standard COM port that is completely transparent to software.

Quatech serial adapters allow plug and play features and are hot-swappable. Another advantage to using the adapter is the ability to implement a RS-232 port while using only one USB port. In addition, Quatech USB Serial Adapters contain deep data FIFOs and use an accelerated UART clock frequency to further boost data rates. The single port on the adapter can typically achieve up to 460.8kbps.
