Description

This RS-232 PCI board from Quatech is the best solution for attaching 2 RS-232 devices through a single-interrupt PCI card. Designed to play well with your PCI bus, this card is designed to reduce PCI register conflicts. 2 male DB-9 connections are provided.

Quatech has gone the extra mile and included a clock multiplying feature on this card. This means you can get data rates up to 460.8 kbps. For maximum signal quality and reliability, a 4 layer board design is used. This card is the workhorse of the PCI Serial card scene.

This model includes surge protection which makes it perfect for industrial environments. It is capable of sustaining up to 40A peak, 8 x 20µs transient surges, a clamping voltage of 30V and a peak energy dissipation of 0.1 Joules. This does, however, restrict the board's speed to 115.2 kbps.
