To ensure maximum signal quality and reliability, Quatech has implemented a 4 layer board design. This means you can rest assured that you are getting the best possible connection with your serial devices.

All PCI registers on this card are implemented properly. That means this card will play nice with your PCI bus and reduce conflicts. A breakout box provides 8 independent asynchronous DB-9 connections for your RS-232 devices.

This model includes surge protection which makes it perfect for industrial environments. It is capable of sustaining up to 40A peak, 8 x 20µs transient surges, a clamping voltage of 30V and a peak energy dissipation of 0.1 Joules. This does, however, restrict the board's speed to 115.2 kbps.
