Does this support USB 2.0 device such as an HP laserjet 3055?

This device is USB 1.1, so it will not work at the full USB 2.0 speeds. However, USB 2.0 is backwards-compatible with USB 1.1, so the device will still work, just at the USB 1.1 speeds. For a device such as a printer this shouldn't be a problem - the time to print will be a couple of seconds longer for most print jobs. If you are doing something that requires a lot of data transfer, however, like scanning a lot of information in, you will want the Gefen Super USB 2.0 Extender, but really make sure that you need the extra speed - it is pretty pricey.
